After high school I worked, traveled, partied and dabbled at college, mostly taking courses for pleasure
or work related, sensing no particular calling for my life. My parents had moved to Virginia, and whenever I visited
at holiday time, I would enjoy the accessibility of the mountains. Eventually I moved to be closer to the mountains,
the ocean, and my family. I met Douglas Litchfield, from Maine, at a ski area where we both worked and in time married
him at age 35. I became a wife, mother and homemaker and those careers kept me happy and busy. I've experienced
many ups and downs over the years and my journey is never boring. We have a 21-year-old daughter, Thea, and a 14-year-old
daughter, Mila. Thea and her husband, Scott Campbell, will celebrate their 2nd anniversary November 20th, and our first
grandchild, Sadie, will soon be 2 months old. I am currently an assistant in a PreK Special Ed. class of 8 children,
and work every other weekend, evenings, at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community on the Alzheimer's Unit. I've enjoyed
this website and look forward to seeing all of you again.
