There certainly
is nothing boring about my last 40 years. Many life changes, some happy, some sad. After high school I attended a Junior College in Des Moines. Transferred to Goshen College where I met my first husband.
Married in 1970 and divorced in 1976. Had a boy, Nick, and a daughter, Alicia from that marriage.
Went to
nursing school and received my RN degree in Champaign, IL
Worked as an operating room nurse at the
University of Minnesota
where I met my husband of 23 years. My husband adopted the children
and we have lived in Stillwater, MN,
since 1982. Did lots of outdoor activities as the kids were growing
up, e.g., fishing, camping, softball teams, sailing, etc. Kids went
to college and in 1996 we lost our son Nick. Our daughter Alicia
is now 32, married with a 6 month old, and lives only a few miles away.
We are
a very close family. I work in a large medical group as a nurse in an administrative role. Jay, my husband, works as a Project Manager in an engineering firm. Both of us have only several miles to drive to work and we love that. We love being grandparents to our 6 month old grandson and life is good. We are both healthy, we love to travel, and both look forward to retirement.
