This is our family at Dodger Stadium on May 14 for a Dodger-Cardinal game (we're also Cardinal fans!).  From left:  Our daughter, Brigette, and her husband, Adam Ingersoll, with grandaughter, Grace; our son, Shane, Wendell and Muriel. I don't know the rest of the people in the picture!
The first year after high school, Wendell Nisly (Class of '66) and I attended EMC (now EMU) for one year and then were married the next summer, July, 1968.  We left for Miami, Florida, three weeks later to begin two years of IW service.  Wendell worked as an operating room orderly at Jackson Memorial Hospital and I worked as a secretary first for an insurance adjuster and then in the ECG lab at the hospital.  Good friends and good memories!

We moved back to Kalona in 1970.  Brigette was born in 1975 and Shane in 1977. We found ourselves employed at a variety of occupations over the years.  Wendell is now an insurance agent at Menno Services in Kalona.  I went back to school at the University of Iowa at 35 (they called us "returning students") and received a B.S. in Accounting.  I am an Accountant at Systems Unlimited, Inc., in Iowa City--we provide services and housing for individuals with developmental disabilities.

We are avid IMS basketball fans and attend the state tournament whenever possible!  We spend most of our vacations in Los Angeles--both Brigette and Shane graduated from USC (Go Trojans!) and stayed there.  Our grandaughter, Grace, is 2-1/2 and Brigette is expecting twins in November! I know, we should retire right now and move to LA!
